Hanoi Love Affair is the auditive picture of the western industrialisation and manipulation of eastern culture. Imagining steam trains that run across the state borders with fresh inventory of consumer products. All while the ocean is screaming for help from greedy overfishing and sloppy waste sorting . A love affair in Vietnam metropolis symbolise perhaps our irresponsible approach to committing us on Mother Earth, as well as in the rising sun of the east. But as the self-proclaimed dualist, not to say manicheanist, HLA’s work is driven with a hope that our global rivalry is a self-imposed resistance and that good and evil will compliment each other for eternity.
